CIMUSET and the China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) are pleased to announce the 2026 International Training Workshop on Capacity Building for Professionals of Science Centers and Museums, taking place 17–21 September 2026 in Beijing, China.

Under the theme “Future Learning Centers in the Changing World — AI for Science Museums”, the workshop will explore how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are transforming science museums and informal science education. Through lectures, case studies, group work, and expert guidance, participants will develop ideas for AI-integrated exhibitions and educational programmes while exchanging knowledge with colleagues from around the world.

The programme will bring together international and Chinese museum professionals and experts, connecting with CIMUSET’s strategic priorities, including digital accessibility, global collaboration, and building a more sustainable future.

The workshop is open to professionals from science centres, science museums, and related institutions. A total of 40 participants will be selected, including 20 international participants and 20 Chinese participants. CIMUSET members will receive priority consideration.

There is no registration fee, and scholarships covering international travel and accommodation will be available for selected participants.
