Host the CIMUSET Conference 2027

Call for Host:

CIMUSET Annual Conference 2027

Shape the future of science and technology museums

CIMUSET invites institutions around the world to apply to host the 54th CIMUSET Annual Conference in 2027.

Each year, the CIMUSET conference brings together a global community of museum professionals, researchers, and practitioners working at the intersection of science, technology, and society. More than a conference, it is a space for exchange, experimentation, and collaboration – where ideas are tested, partnerships are formed, and new directions for science and technology museums take shape.

We are now looking for a host institution ready to open its doors—and its institutional and regional context—to this international community, and to actively contribute to shaping conversations about the role of science and technology museums in a rapidly changing world.

We encourage institutions from all regions of the world to apply, and to bring their perspectives, practices, and ambitions into this shared space.

Why host the CIMUSET Conference?

Hosting the CIMUSET conference is an opportunity to:

  • Position your institution internationally as a key actor in the field of science and technology museums
  • Showcase your exhibitions, collections, and practices to a global network of peers
  • Engage with pressing issues such as sustainability, digital transformation, inclusion, and the evolving societal role of science and technology museums
  • Strengthen regional and international collaborations across institutions and disciplines
  • Create a lasting legacy for your museum and the wider museum community in your country or region

The conference typically gathers 80–300 participants and includes a dynamic programme of presentations, workshops, panel discussions, site visits, and social events. The working language is English.

We welcome proposals from institutions that:

  • Are committed to advancing the role of science and technology museums in society
