Elections for the CIMUSET Board 2025-2028

2025 is an election year for all ICOM International Committees!

You are warmly invited to be part of the new CIMUSET Board for the term 2025–2028.
To participate as a candidate or a voter, please ensure that:

  • You are an active member of ICOM and have selected CIMUSET as your committee.
  • Your membership is valid through 2025.
  • You have an up-to-date email address registered with ICOM.
    (Changes can be made in the ICOM member space.)

We are pleased to introduce the candidates standing for election to the CIMUSET Board for the term 2025–2028.

Each candidate has submitted a motivation letter outlining their background, experience, and vision for CIMUSET as well as a letter of support. These presentations aim to help you make an informed decision when voting.

We encourage all CIMUSET members to review the profiles carefully and consider how each candidate’s expertise, ideas, and commitment can contribute to the future of our community.

Election Process

The CIMUSET Board election will take place online via a secure voting platform (details to be announced).

Each eligible member can vote for:

  • 1 candidate for Chair, and

  • Up to 10 candidates for ordinary Board members.

The voting period is 15–21 September 2025.

Make sure your ICOM membership is up to date and that CIMUSET is selected as your committee in order to vote.

Important dates for the election process

  1. Call for candidates: Early June – 31 July 2025
    Announcement via website, newsletter, and social media. Candidate applications will be collected during this period.
  2. Candidate presentations: 1 August – 14 September 2025
    Presentations shared via website, newsletter, and social media.
  3. Online voting: 15 – 21 September 2025
    Voting will take place via an online platform (to be announced later).
  4. Announcement of results: 10 October 2025
    Results published on the website, newsletter, and social media.
  5. Installation of the new CIMUSET Board:
    During the ICOM General Conference at the CIMUSET General Assembly – 15 November 2025 (on site).

Terms and Conditions for CIMUSET Board Members (2025–2028)

  • We are looking for active board members who are ready to share responsibilities and contribute to creating a vibrant program of activities for CIMUSET members.
  • We value creativity, initiative, and a commitment to following through on projects, as well as fostering collaboration and bringing new contacts into the ICOM community.
  • Working groups will be formed to address specific tasks and initiatives.
  • Active participation in online board meetings is required. Board members who miss more than two meetings per year without prior notice and who do not contribute to working groups or other activities may be removed from the board.
  • Please note that there is no financial support available to cover travel or other expenses related to board duties.
  • Specific board roles (e.g., Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) will be assigned based on the profiles of elected members, their preferences, and the needs of the board. All executive positions—except Chair—will be confirmed in the first board meeting after the election.
  • The current CIMUSET Board remains in place during the ICOM General Conference in Dubai 2025, until the new board is ratified at the CIMUSET General Assembly.

Electin committee

The election committee consists of Marie Gilbertova and Monique Horth. They are both current CIMUSET Board members, but are not seeking re-election.
